Dave's Summer Tips

They bloom before any flower.  It's pothole season!  Now that winter is over, I offer these tips so you can travel safely and your car can preform better.  Happy travels from your friends at Anker's Auto Service!

See It All Clearly

  1. Treat your windshield to Rain-X and improve visibility in poor weather.  It seals the glass, repelling rain and sleet for months.  $4.95 Installed. 
  2. Prepare for springtime road spray.  Fill up the windshield washer reservoir and keep your cool when you get splashed by other cars. 
  3. Windshield wipers are critical for good visibility in rain and sleet.  Make sure they're working well and leave no streaks. If they're over one year old, replace them!   Special offer:  $9.95 each. 
  4.  Dirt and grime on headlights can block up to 75% of your nighttime illumination.  Clean your headlights by wiping them with a wet cloth.  Easy! 

Catch a Falling Car

Keep Your Feet on the Ground

  1. April Showers bring....hydroplaning.  For good steering and braking, your tire tread must be deep enough to channel away water and grip pavement.  We have new Sumitomo tires in stock or can order any brand you want. 
  2. How many miles does your car have?  It should have five!  Make sure you have a spare tire and jack in the trunk.  Is the tire in good condition?  Enough air pressure?  It's a real bummer to get a flat tier and not have a usable spare. 
  3. Check the pressures at least once a month.  Maintaining the correct pressure indicated on the side of the tire is an easy way to improve gas mileage, tire wear and safety.  Come in and we will check your tire pressures for free. 

Looking Good! 

  1. Give your car a thorough cleaning to remove salt and mud.  A clean car feels good, looks better, and lasts longer.  For that special touch, we offer detailing services.  We'll wash and wax your car by hand for $49.95. 
  2. Now is a good time to fix rust spots, scratches, and dents.  If you wait too long, they become holes and are much more expensive to repair.  We've been restoring bodies for over 50 years.  We are happy to give you FREE ESTIMATE!
